Privacy Policy for PontoCerto
Effective date: August 10, 2026
Last updated: October 21, 2026
PontoCerto is a personal work time-tracking and hours-calculation app developed by Renato Ferraz (“developer,” “we”). This Privacy Policy explains what data the app handles, where it is stored, and how you can control it.
By using PontoCerto, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Quick summary
- Your punches, schedules, cycles, alarms and profile stay on your device and, if iCloud is on, are synced through your own iCloud account (CloudKit, private container
iCloud.br.com.renatoferraz.pontocerto). The developer has no access to this data.
- The app includes UAPPKit, a component made by the developer that shows the About, What’s New, Roadmap and Feedback screens. Only when you send a suggestion, a comment or a vote, or sign in to a UAPP account (optional), some of your data goes to the UAPP servers (section 4).
- PontoCerto Pro subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple. We do not receive your payment details.
- We do not use analytics, cross-app tracking, ads or advertising identifiers.
- We do not sell or rent your data.
2. Data handled by the app
Data that stays only on your devices and in your iCloud
- Clock-in, break and clock-out times, entered by you or confirmed from an alarm or reminder.
- Work schedule, monthly cycle, holidays, breaks, alarm and notification settings.
- Local profile: the name, e-mail and photo you choose to fill in under Settings › Profile.
- Backup files, saved on the device itself or wherever you choose to export them.
Data sent to UAPP (only when you use these features)
- When you send a suggestion, a comment or a vote in Feedback or the Roadmap: the text, any images you attach and your author identification (name, e-mail and photo from your local profile or UAPP account), so the suggestion shows your name and you can get a reply.
- When you sign in to a UAPP account (optional; by e-mail or the sign-in providers offered on screen): name, e-mail, profile photo and the account identifier.
- When you open the UAPPKit screens (About, What’s New, Roadmap, Reviews): the app requests this content from the UAPP server, telling it which app and language. As with any internet access, the server receives the connection’s IP address.
Data handled by Apple
- Purchases and subscriptions: made through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; the app only receives confirmation that the subscription is active.
- Alarms and notifications: the app uses AlarmKit and system notifications; scheduling stays in the operating system.
- Camera and photos: used only when you choose to take or pick your profile photo. Nothing is sent without your action.
What the app does NOT collect
- Location, contacts, health data, browsing history or advertising identifiers.
- Punches, schedules, balance or history: this data never goes to UAPP or to the developer.
- We do not track you across apps or websites.
3. How data is stored and synced
- Local storage: Core Data, in the protected storage of iOS, iPadOS, macOS and watchOS.
- Sync: CloudKit, in the private container of your iCloud account. Synced data only exists within your Apple ID, the same mechanism used by apps like Reminders or Notes.
- Widgets and Apple Watch: read the same data through a local App Group (
group.br.com.renatoferraz.pontocerto), the private CloudKit container and the direct connection between iPhone and watch.
- The developer does not operate, access, or have any technical means to access the contents of your private CloudKit container.
4. UAPP and data sharing
UAPP is the developer’s own platform for receiving suggestions, publishing release notes and keeping the apps’ roadmaps. Data sent to it (section 2) is stored on the UAPP servers, hosted by Supabase, and is used only to:
- show your suggestion or comment on the PontoCerto Roadmap, with your name and photo as the author;
- reply to you and let you know about the progress of your suggestion;
- maintain your UAPP account, if you create one.
Suggestions, comments and votes published on the Roadmap can be seen by other people who use the app, together with the author’s name and photo. Do not include sensitive data in these texts.
Data in the UAPP account is also covered by the UAPP Privacy Policy.
Other than that, we do not share data with third parties. Apple takes part in storage (iCloud/CloudKit) and purchases (App Store), governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. We may disclose information if required by law or a valid court order.
5. Security
- Data on the device follows the standard encryption of iOS, macOS and watchOS.
- Data synced through CloudKit follows Apple’s encryption in transit and at rest.
- Communication with UAPP uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
- No storage method is 100% secure. Protect your Apple Account with a strong password and two-factor authentication.
6. Your rights and control (LGPD)
- Access and correction: your records and profile are visible and editable in the app at any time.
- Export: the file backup (Settings › Backup) creates a copy of your data that you can keep or move to another device.
- Deleting app data: deleting records in the app or uninstalling it removes the data from the device; turning off iCloud for the app (Settings › [your name] › iCloud) and deleting its data removes what is in CloudKit.
- Deleting UAPP data: with the UAPP account signed in, open the account in Settings and tap Delete account: the account, photo and sessions are deleted and the “Sign in with Apple” access is revoked. You can also just sign out. To delete suggestions and comments sent without an account, write to the e-mail below; the request is handled within the period set by the LGPD.
- Revoking permissions: camera, photos, notifications and alarms can be turned off at any time in the system Settings.
For questions about the processing of personal data under Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (LGPD — Law No. 13,709/2018), contact us at the e-mail below.
7. Children
PontoCerto is not directed at children. It is a work-hours tracking app intended for users who are 18 or older, or of legal working age.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app gains features that change how data is handled. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised, and relevant changes will be communicated within the app.
